We are often asked where the name GLOBEX came from, what make us different from others in the sector.
The name GLOBEX comes from the vision of our founder and Managing Director, GLOBE = to operate GLOBALLY and X = to Exit.
We are all about Raising Awareness and Improving Standards by educating people on current evacuation requirements and the solutions available working with all sectors. Believe it or not, safe evacuation requirements of mobility impaired persons is not clearly regulated and has no bench marked industry recognised guidance like other safety equipment such as fire extinguishers that has recognised codes of practice for specification, positioning, and maintenance etc.
Our fantastic team of competent experienced personnel ensure customer service is our number one priority following our clear tried and tested process but also adapting to changing trends and the needs of our clients where required.
Changes to how we work with our partners and our new exitassured training and consultancy service will provide clients with further assurance of complying with current statutory obligations and mobility impaired persons to have peace of mind that they can be evacuated safely in the event of an emergency or when lifts can not be used.
Our strategy for the future is to continue to educate, collaborate and certificate.
Employers and Service Providers can be empowered to challenge external consultants, regulators, enforcing authorities and overzealous sales personnel to take ownership of the procedures and provisions they have in place. As previous blogs have indicated there is still a lot of confusion and misleading information around evacuation requirements and we believe the safe evacuation of all users of buildings must not be left to chance.
Times must change and the focus must be on life safety and evacuation, fire doors and fire extinguishers are essential but improvements must be made on a risk basis to ensure everyone can be evacuated safely without depending on the Fire and Rescue Service and must be the number one priority.
If you would like further information about equipment, support services, our educational programmes or assistance addressing the findings of fire risk assessment or accessibility reports please get in touch.
